Young man pulled from backyard pool in Burlington and rushed to hospital in 'life-threatening condition'
A young man is in hospital fighting for his life after being pulled from a backyard pool in Burlington.
Halton Regional Police, Burlington firefighters and Halton Region Paramedics responded to the home on Rubens Court, in the area of Walkers Line and New Street, around 8:30 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 11) for a 911 call of a possible drowning in a backyard pool.
Police attended and began "life saving efforts" on the man, according to Halton Region Paramedics.
The man, believed to be in his 20s, was pulled from the pool by the people who called 911, Const. Ryan Anderson said.
Paramedics and firefighters also helped with life-saving efforts, Anderson added.
The man was transported to hospital by paramedics in "life-threatening condition," according to paramedics.
Anderson said Friday (Aug. 12) the man is still in hospital Friday.
