Sydney rail strikes to go ahead as NSW nurses union announce a new round of action

Train dispute continues while nurses and midwives will walk off the job on 1 September

Sydney commuters will faced a second day of train strikes this week, despite the New South Wales government delivering a deed it says will meet the rail union's demands.

Meanwhile the nursing union has announced its third strike this year across the state's hospitals, to take place on 1 September over staffing levels and pay.
