One lane on Highway 403 westbound closed for vehicle fire

Traffic will be moving a touch slower this morning on the westbound Highway 403.

OPP reported a vehicle fire shortly after 4 a.m. that has closed both the right lane and shoulder between Highway 6 and the on-ramp to the Lincoln Alexander Parkway.

There is no estimated time for when that lane will reopen to traffic.

There was also a fatal crash on the eastbound 403 Wednesday afternoon.

Brant OPP tweeted around 5 p.m. that eastbound lanes were closed following a collision between a commercial and personal vehicle, east of Oxford Road 55, near Woodstock.

One person was declared dead at the scene.

Eastbound lanes were reopened to traffic Wednesday evening.
