Woman injured after fight at Blue Jays game at Rogers Centre, police say
One woman is injured after a fight broke out at Rogers Centre stadium during a Blue Jays game on Friday.
Toronto police said that several fans" attending the game became involved in an altercation" around 9:15 p.m.
During this altercation, a male suspect allegedly assaulted a female, who was also allegedly involved in the altercation," police spokesperson Const. Robert Reid said Saturday, confirming that the woman sustained an injury.
The male suspect then fled the area with another female, (who was) also allegedly involved in the altercation, and exited the stadium," he said.
According to police, the suspects' identities are currently unknown.
Rogers Stadium security is assisting police with the investigation and we expect to be able to identify them," Reid said, adding that both suspects are urged to contact legal counsel and arrange their surrender.
