Dundas house fire causes $100,000 in damages
A home in Dundas was scorched in an early Friday morning blaze.
In an email to The Spectator, the Hamilton Fire Department said just after 3:30 a.m. emergency services were called to a possible structure fire on Central Park Avenue.
The first crews arriving on the scene found a fully engulfed deck fire that had extended up the single-storey home to the roof, according to the fire department.
The blaze was quickly doused by firefighters, who also searched the home for occupants. All residents of the home made it out safely with no injuries.
The fire is estimated to have caused approximately $100,000 in damages to the home.
The blaze came a little over 12 hours after Hamilton firefighters were called to a fire at a two-storey home on Murray Street West on Thursday afternoon. The home sustained an estimated $300,000 in damages.
