It’s time to Supercrawl. Here is everything you need to know
Supercrawl weekend is upon us, and The Spectator can help you get ready for Hamilton's busiest festival.
From Sept. 9 to 11, on James Street North will be filled with tons of food, music and art. Here is everything you need to know about the festival.
How to get to Supercrawl:
Transit: HSR routes in the north end (2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 20) will be impacted by the event and will be on detour. Detour routings will be available on the HSR website within the next few weeks. HSR customers should expect delays when planning their trips during these times and should plan accordingly to give themselves more travel time.
West Harbour GO station is located at the north end of the festival. Trains from Union run every hour.
Parking: Off-Street municipal parking is available nearby in Car Parks 36, 37 (Convention Centre), 62 (Vine Street), and 68 (York Parkade). Special event rates in Municipal Car Parks from $15 to $20 will apply depending on location. Private parking locations are available in proximity to the festival and prices are subject to ownership.
Street closures: James Street North from King Street West to Strachan Street; York Boulevard from Park to Hughson closures begin on Sept. 8 at 1 a.m. and reopen on Sept. 12 until 5 a.m.

Musical performances lineup: Tim Baker, The Dirty Nil, Ellevator, Sarah Harmer, Hamilton Superstars, Charlotte Day Wilson and more. Check out our ultimate guide of all the local bands performing.
Interactive performance: Squonk brings Hand to Hand" jazz production and Bamboo Tavern" an eight foot-tall tree, made from regionally reclaimed bridge, apartment, and home parts is one of Supercrawl's art installations.
Visual, Art performances and Theatre: Alegria Dance Co. with a performance and dance party, Hamilton's My Lady" performed by Kiera Boult, an interdisciplinary artist and performer from Hamilton, Uncle Tommy from One Minute Campfire Ghost Stories" and much more.
Fashion Showcases: Ark Collective, a storefront that highlights BIPOC businesses, Sapphyre Poison Drag Extravaganza, True Hamiltonian will be launching a new clothing collection and more.
Art Party: OFF HOURS, a weekend-long art party featuring the work of staff members at Centre[3] and begins on Friday, Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. on 126 James St. N.
Ticket-free workshops and exhibits: The Workers Arts and Heritage Centre, a community museum is offering special exhibits for the upcoming festival weekend. Floetry: a workshop for water and words will take place on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., facilitated by Anishnaabekwe author Danielle Boissoneau.
Food trucks: Over 30 food trucks are expected to be at this year's Supercraw. From Mexican food to cheesecake on a stick, make sure you try as much as you can.
Restaurants: Special menus, cocktails, Afro-beats party, drag brunch and themed patios at Hamilton's local restaurants.
Author's Tent: From readings to book signings, interact with your favourite local authors at Supercrawl on Colbourne Street.
