Other tokens that take after the new monarch including King Charles III have also come up. More than 40 different meme coins have been developed within hours, according to DexScreener.
Since their launch, the most liquid meme tokens, Queen Elizabeth Inu and Save The Queen, have already processed almost $200,000 and $750,000 in trading volume, respectively. At the time of publication, Queen Elizabeth Inu was up 23,271% on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and 3,708% on Uniswap. In the meantime, the price of Save The Queen tokens gained 1,517%. Prices are highly volatile and unlikely to sustain themselves.
A nonfungible token collection entitled Queen Elizabeth 69 Years NFT" was also created. The collection alleges to offer a single picture for each year of the Queen's reign. The reasons to doubt this project's intentions include the fact that Elizabeth II ruled for 70 years, and not 69.
The cryptocurrency community, normally remarkable for its plethora of humor, mainly bristled at the projects.
