New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson is medically cleared to play in Week 4, head coach Robert Saleh announced Wednesday.

Wilson is expected to start Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers barring any setbacks.

The 23-year-old has yet to play this season due to a knee injury. He underwent surgery after suffering a meniscus tear and bone bruise in the preseason opener.

"I'm full go. I'm going to play ball how I can," Wilson said Wednesday, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. "If somebody comes up, (I'll) make somebody miss, get out on the edge, extend plays when I need to, hang in the pocket. I'm playing exactly how I should be."

Joe Flacco replaced Wilson through the first three games of the year, completing 58.7% of his passes for 901 yards and five touchdowns against three interceptions. The Jets went 1-2 and their offense ranks 20th in the NFL with 17.3 points per game.

Wilson, whom New York drafted second overall in 2021, completed 55.6% of his pass attempts while tossing nine touchdowns to 11 interceptions in 13 games as a rookie.
