The protester who was tackled by Bobby Wagner after running onto the field during Monday Night Football has filed a police report against the Los Angeles Rams linebacker.

A spokesperson for the Santa Clara Police Department confirmed to TMZ Sports that the man filed the report over the incident on Tuesday but didn't reveal any additional details.

The individual, who's an animal rights activist with the organization Direct Action Everywhere, ran onto the field at Levi's Stadium with a pink smoke bomb during the second quarter of the Rams' 24-9 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Monday. After evading security, he was brought down by Wagner and teammate Takkarist McKinley.

"I just saw somebody running on the field - and he wasn't supposed to be on the field," Wagner said after the game, according to Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times. "So I saw security was having a little problem, so I helped 'em out."

A representative for Direct Action Everywhere told TMZ that the police report stems from a "blatant assault" by the Rams players. The organization said the man suffered a burn injury during the incident but is otherwise "in good spirits."
