Running back Alvin Kamara revealed he's feeling good and expects to play Sunday when the New Orleans Saints take on the Seattle Seahawks.

"The main thing for me is just being able to help the team any way I can," Kamara said Wednesday, according to ESPN's Katherine Terrell. "Just being all the way healthy and available on Sunday, that's my biggest thing."

The five-time Pro Bowler is dealing with a rib injury sustained during the Saints' season-opening win against the Atlanta Falcons. He's missed two games so far, including last week's 28-25 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London. He was a limited participant in the team's first day of practice this week.

Kamara believes he probably returned too soon after sitting out Week 2 and returning the following week against the Carolina Panthers, according to Luke Johnson of the New Orleans Advocate. The 2017 AP Offensive Rookie of the Year has rushed for 100 yards on 24 carries in two games this season.

Kamara detailed the complexity of rehabbing a "weird injury" that feels different almost daily.

"It's one of those things you've got to kind of be easy with and one morning you wake up and it's feeling terrible, the next morning you wake up and it's feeling better," he said.

Regardless of when Kamara makes his return, the star halfback plans to wear extra padding as a precaution.

While Kamara appears to be on track to return Sunday, the same cannot be said for quarterback Jameis Winston and receiver Michael Thomas. Head coach Dennis Allen didn't provide an update on either player after they missed last week's defeat to Minnesota.

Winston is dealing with both back and ankle injuries, while Thomas has been hampered by a foot issue.
