What’s open and closed Thanksgiving Day around Hamilton

Here's what's open and closed on Thanksgiving Monday.

City offices, civic museums, recreation facilities, seniors centres and arenas are closed for public programming.

Hamilton and Burlington public libraries are closed Monday. HPL is also closed Sunday.

Most retail outlets and grocery stores are closed Monday.

Most area malls are closed, including CF Lime Ridge Mall, Eastgate, Fairview, Mapleview and Burlington Centre.

Centre on Barton may have some stores open and Outlet Collection at Niagara Falls is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

All Beer and LCBO stores are closed Monday.

There is no green bin, blue box or garbage pickup on Monday in Hamilton or Halton. Curbside pickup is be one day later than usual, except in Niagara where no change takes place in daily pickup. Recycling centres and transfer stations are closed in Hamilton and Halton.

HSR and GO Transit operate on Sunday schedules on the holiday Monday. Burlington Transit and DARTS will run a holiday schedule Monday.

Hamilton Farmer's Market is closed Sunday and Monday, opens again Tuesday at 8 a.m.

Tropical Greenhouse at Gage Park is closed Monday.

Canada Post delivery and outlets are closed Monday.

Ontario Works offices are closed.

The Art Gallery of Hamilton open Monday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Warplane Heritage Museum is closed Monday.

City of Hamilton Animal Services office and shelter are closed on Monday, for animal-related emergencies please call 905-574-3433.

The Animal Shelter at 2424 Industrial St., Burlington is closed, to report an animal control-related emergency, call 905-335-3030.

Hamilton civic golf courses at Chedoke and Kings Forest are open Monday.
