Power is out in a large section of Hamilton's downtown core Tuesday morning.
Alectra Utilities reported the power outage around 3:56 a.m. Tuesday morning in the area between Jackson Square and Hamilton police headquarters.
The affected area is from James Street to Mary Street and Main Street to Wilson Street, the utility says.
At least 198 residents and businesses are affected by the outage.
The power company says crews have been dispatched to repair an underground distribution problem.
Remember to treat affected intersections as four-way stops during a power failure.
Power is estimated to be back on by around 11:30 a.m., says the utility.
