Arts and chrysanthemums top our things to do around Hamilton with the annual Fall Garden and Mum Show and an intensified AGH Fest starting their 10-day events in the city.

Mums galore
Where will you find over 100,000 blooms in one space? The 2022 Hamilton Fall Garden and Mum Show, Mums in Space,' is blooming at the tropical greenhouse in Gage Park from Oct. 14 to 23, open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are free for children five and younger and $7.77 for adults. AGH art festival
The Art Gallery of Hamilton fall film festival expanded and became the AGH Festival: 10 Days of Arts and Culture, which runs Oct. 14 to 23. This intensified AGH Fest, is 10 days of events, happenings, pop-ups and workshops representing visual art, media and film, performance, craft, and other creative genres. - Friday is Carnival Movie Night from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Westdale theatre for a double feature.
- AGH Festival Opening Celebration! Night Circus is Saturday at the AGH Pavilion from 7 to 10 p.m.
- Family Carnival is Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. and is free for the whole family.
Art Crawl Friday
It's the second weekend of the month, check out Hamilton Art Crawl along James Street North for shopping, galleries, exhibits, eats and drinks.

Ancaster Home Show

Halloween happenings
Halloween in the Park at the Binbrook Fairgrounds, 2600 Highway 56, is Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Bouncy Castle, petting zoo, face painting, superhero training and candy of course. Food trucks are also scheduled to attend.
Halloween Makers Market at the Royal Canadian Legion Burlington Branch 60, 828 Legion Rd., Burlington, on Saturday from 2 to 8 p.m.
Trick or treat this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in downtown Stoney Creek along King Street East. PumpkinFest features live music, a costume contest, family fun, artisan market, farm market and pumpkins.
Mountsberg's Spooktacular Halloween is open weekends. Enjoy the illuminated Night Walk through the forest, visit the Haunted Barn, meet resident snakes and owls, and take on the Halloween scavenger hunt. New Hope fundraiser
Cycle up, then down, then up, then down on Fifty Road in Stoney Creek. Participants of this gruelling event are raising money for New Hope Community Bike's programming, including teaching children to ride, mentoring youth through skill development and making cycling accessible to vulnerable groups. Plant a tree
Volunteers are needed to help plant trees in Waterdown Saturday. The Waterdown Lions Club is teaming up with Halton Conservation to help restore areas of the community. They plan to plant 300 trees at Joe Sams Leisure Park, 752 Centre Rd., and along Grindstone Creek. Bring gloves and plan to meet at Joe Sams at 9:30 a.m. to pick up the necessary equipment.
Walking tour
