Pickett completed 11 of 18 passes for 67 yards and one touchdown before leaving the contest.
The Steelers drafted Pickett 20th overall this year to make him the first quarterback off the board. The Pitt product began the season as Trubisky's backup but earned the starting role before Week 5.
Trubisky, who signed a two-year deal with Pittsburgh in the offseason, completed only 59.5% of his passes for 653 yards and two touchdowns against two interceptions in four starts this year.
