New York Jets wide receiver Elijah Moore will not play on Sunday against the Denver Broncos, head coach Robert Saleh announced.

Moore has requested a trade, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

"He is excused from meetings, but he is going through a workout and regen regimen over the next three days and will rejoin the team on Monday," Saleh said.

Saleh added that trading the disgruntled wide receiver is "not an option."

Moore has reportedly been frustrated with his role in the offense and is pushing for a move following a zero-target game against the Green Bay Packers.

After being excused from Thursday's practice for a personal day, Moore returned to the team's facility Friday ahead of Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Moore had a promising rookie year after the Jets selected him 34th overall in 2021. He finished the season with 43 receptions, 538 yards, and five touchdowns in 11 games.

However, the sophomore receiver out of Ole Miss has received just 29 targets in six games, catching 16 of them for 203 yards and zero touchdowns. Of Moore's 29 targets, 21 came in the team's first three games when quarterback Joe Flacco filled in for an injured Zach Wilson.

The NFL trade deadline is on Nov. 1 at 4 p.m. ET.
