Features Located near Veterans Park and a short walk from the historic downtown core, this home is one of a just handful of properties in the immediate area that is listed for more than $1 million.
Nestled on Ann Street, the three-bedroom, three-bathroom house boasts around 1,700 square feet of living space and has been lovingly renovated from top to bottom," said salesperson Sarit Zalter with Re/Max Escarpment Realty Inc.
Zalter said the current owners bought the home six years ago and completely opened up the main floor, which once housed a galley-style kitchen and a more closed off living and dining area.
Ancaster-based full service interior design studio Coco and Jack led the project, working on both the design and decor of the sidesplit home, she noted.
It's not super modern and sterile," said Zalter. It's got a really cosy feel to it."
The main level of the home features a large kitchen with custom cupboards, quartz countertops, an island cook top and stainless steel appliances. A set of sliding glass doors lead out to the fully fenced backyard, which backs onto a running stream and has a large deck and pergola.
On the upper level, there are two bedrooms - including the primary suite - as well as two bathrooms. The primary bedroom has floor-to-ceiling cabinets and a gas fireplace, while the ensuite has a soaker tub and a walk-in shower.
Downstairs, the basement features a gas fireplace, a built-in office space and a laundry room. The ground level has another bedroom and a half bathroom.
Zalter said the home would be ideal for a retired couple or a young family, pointing to its proximity to schools and conservation areas. She noted it's been thoroughly updated, making it turnkey ready."
Why is it priced this way? Zalter said the price of the home was influenced by recent sales in the area as well as the location of the lot, which backs onto a ravine.
It's a very desirable spot," she said.
