Sources: Packers actively pursuing trade for WR
The Green Bay Packers have been actively calling around the NFL to trade for a wide receiver, sources told Jordan Schultz, theScore's NFL insider.
Green Bay is reportedly hoping to land a pass-catcher still on a rookie contract.

Randall Cobb is on IR, Christian Watson has battled a hamstring and Sammy Watkins (hamstring) was activated last week. I'm told GB's hope is to find someone still on a rookie deal.
The Packers, who traded All-Pro receiver Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders in March and lost Marquez Valdes-Scantling in free agency, have struggled offensively this year. Green Bay hasn't scored more than 27 points in a contest and has averaged only 17.7 points across its three-game losing streak.
Green Bay opted not to use any of its two first-round picks in 2022 on a wideout, drafting receivers Christian Watson in the second round, Romeo Doubs in the fourth, and Samori Toure in Round 7. The Packers also brought in veteran Sammy Watkins, adding to a wide receiver depth chart featuring Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb.
Lazard has caught 26 passes for a team-high 340 yards and four touchdowns this season. Doubs is easily Green Bay's best first-year receiver, amassing 23 catches, 234 yards, and two scores on a team-leading 42 targets.
Watson has been limited to only seven receptions and 52 yards in four games, while Tourre has appeared in just one contest.
Several high-profile wide receivers have been liked to trade rumors around the NFL, including Chase Claypool of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jerry Jeudy of the Denver Broncos, and Elijah Moore of the New York Jets. Those receivers are still playing on rookie deals.
Moore, a second-round pick in 2021, recently requested a trade from the Jets after not being targeted in Week 6.
The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 4 p.m. ET.
