Number of voters who cast Ontario municipal election ballots is down. Here's why that matters

Across many parts of Ontario - including Waterloo region, Guelph and Stratford - fewer eligible voters cast their ballots in the 2022 municipal election compared to previous years. If the trend continues, it could become "a problem for democracy," says one political science expert.
