Ravens' Andrews, Bateman escape serious injuries after exiting vs. Bucs

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews and wide receiver Rashod Bateman were both ruled out of Thursday's 27-22 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but neither suffered a long-term injury.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said postgame that Andrews and Bateman's shoulder and foot injuries, respectively, aren't serious, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.

Running back Gus Edwards also left the contest due to a hamstring injury, and Harbaugh said the team will know more about his status tomorrow.

Andrews sustained the ailment early in the second quarter and went to the locker room before being ruled out at halftime. Bateman entered the game with his foot issue.

The All-Pro tight end, who didn't catch a pass in Sunday's victory over the Cleveland Browns, was heavily involved in Baltimore's game plan early versus Tampa Bay, being targeted five times before going down. He hauled in three passes for 33 yards.

Andrews was originally listed as questionable with a knee injury.

The 27-year-old is Lamar Jackson's primary weapon in the passing game. Andrews put on a show in 2021, catching 107 passes for 1,361 yards and nine touchdowns. He entered Thursday with 39 receptions, 455 yards, and five scores this season.
