Anaheim Ducks defenseman Jamie Drysdale will undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder and will miss four-to-six months, the team announced Monday.

Drysdale suffered the injury when Vegas Golden Knights forward William Carrier hit him into the boards Friday.

The 20-year-old had been held without a point in eight games this season but is coming off a stellar sophomore campaign in which he tallied 32 points over 81 contests in 2021-22.

The Ducks selected Drysdale with the sixth overall pick in the 2020 draft.
