Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay said he's thrilled with the moves Howie Roseman made this week after the general manager added defensive tackles Linval Joseph and Ndamukong Suh.

"We're not here to just be participants," Slay said, according to Josh Tolentino of The Philadelphia Inquirer. "We're going for the Super Bowl. Howie wants to see the confetti again."

Opponents have gashed the Eagles on the ground lately, with Philadelphia allowing 154 rushing yards per game over the last three outings. Adding Joseph and Suh should help the team address the problem.

"He's got a lot left in the tank," Slay said about Suh. "He can play as long as he wants to. He gets to join a winning team; keep building his legacy."

Roseman won a Super Bowl with the Eagles in 2017 but has struggled to keep the magic from that season alive. Philadelphia earned a combined record of 31-33-1 from 2018-21.

The 47-year-old general manager also stayed busy in the offseason, adding star players like wide receiver A.J. Brown, defensive end Haason Reddick, and cornerback James Bradberry. Roseman appeared to prioritize upgrading the Eagles' roster after losing 31-15 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in last season's wild-card round.

Philadelphia is off to a great start this campaign, sitting atop the NFC at 8-1. The Eagles take on the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
