Antisemitism conference
The Hamilton Jewish Federation is hosting its first #nomoreantisemitism international conference in Hamilton over the weekend. Each day features keynote speakers, as well as an exhibition with book sales, and displays and booths hosted by community organizations. ASL (American Sign Language) translation will be provided for each conference session.
Silvertone Hills
It's indie rock at Mills Hardward, 95 King St. E., on Friday at 8 p.m. Tickets through eventbrite.ca.
Concert and dance
The Silver Swing Big Band is performing Friday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at St. Matthew's Anglican Church, 125 Plains Rd. W., Burlington. Admission is free to this dance and concert performance. Enter at the Parish Hall at the back of the church.
Santa parades
They're lining streets this weekend for Santa Claus. Parades are happening in Hamilton, Oakville, Ohsweken, Port Dover, Fort Erie, Cambridge and Toronto this weekend. Check out our guide to the area's Santa parades with routes, dates and times on thespec.com.
Mall Santa
Santa arrives at CF Lime Ridge Mall on Saturday. A grand welcome includes displays, holiday decor, live music and more from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The festivities will be inside entrance No. 1, near the Old Navy and Eddie Bauer stores, 999 Upper Wentworth St.
Eastgate Square's arrival of Santa starts with the parade on Sunday at 1 p.m. It starts in the HomeSense court. Photos are available with Santa until 5 p.m.
Free train rides are offered at Burlington Centre Sunday from 12 to 6 p.m. in conjunction with Santa's arrival this weekend at the mall. Located by entrance 1.
Visit Santa

Christmas market
The Christmas in the City Market is Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at McMaster Innovation Park. Admission is $5. This event is in support of people who are medically challenged, in medical crisis, isolated and palliative care patients, in particular those at St. Joseph's Hospital. The weekend event features more than 40 vendors, food trucks, photos with Santa and more.
Aldershot tree lighting
Travel down Plains Road on Saturday for the annual tree lighting. Vendor market, choirs, Halton police Cram-a-Cruiser (bring a non-perishable food item), balloons, face painting, Santa and more from 2 to 6 p.m. The tree lighting is at 6 p.m., near 355 Plains Rd. E.
Michael Kaeshammer
Internationally acclaimed musician Michael Kaeshammer is at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre, 400 Locust St., on Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets through burlingtonpac.ca
Beatles Ones'
A chronological masterpiece that presents Beatles' hit songs that topped the world charts for seven consecutive years is on at the Sanderson Centre, 88 Dalhousie St., Brantford. Tickets available through sandersoncentre.ca.
Westfield charity auction

Rae Hendershot
Official launch of the Rae Hendershot website is Saturday from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the Dundas Museum & Archives, 139 Park St. W.
