The Santa Claus parade returns to Hamilton

Santa Claus returned to downtown Hamilton streets Saturday following a COVID-related hiatus.
Heavy snowfall added to the parade's ambience, and left many spectators looking much like the snowmen rolling by them on floats.
The parade started at Bay Street North and Barton Street West and travelled south to York Boulevard, east to James Street North and north back to Barton, with spectators lining the route and bundled up against the cold.
Last year, with the parade cancelled, Mr. and Mrs. Clause embarked on a smaller tour of select neighbourhoods throughout the city. The parade was also called off in 2020 amid the pandemic.
