The Los Angeles Rams are expected to give undrafted quarterback Bryce Perkins first-team practice reps amid injuries to Matthew Stafford and John Wolford, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero report.

Perkins' increased workload could pave the way for him to make his first career start Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, Rapoport and Pelissero add.

Stafford re-entered the concussion protocol following the team's Week 11 loss to the New Orleans Saints while Wolford missed the game due to a neck injury. Stafford also missed the previous contest due to a concussion.

Perkins filled in after Stafford exited against the Saints, completing five of his 10 passes for 64 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions.

The Virginia product had never appeared in an NFL game prior to the 2022 season. The Rams signed him as an undrafted free agent following the 2020 draft.

In light of the injuries to their quarterbacks, the Rams also signed passer Case Cookus to the practice squad.

Last season's Super Bowl champion, Los Angeles has sunk to the bottom of the NFC West at 3-7.
