Schultz scores twice as Cowboys roll past Giants
The Dallas Cowboys took down the division rival New York Giants 28-20 in Thursday's second Thanksgiving matchup.
Dalton Schultz scored two touchdowns on four receptions in the victory, but it was the running game that carried the team for the majority of the game. Running backs Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard combined for 152 yards and a score on 34 carries.
New York was depleted at a number of position groups, including the defensive secondary. CeeDee Lamb made the replacement defensive backs pay on multiple occasions, catching six passes for 106 yards.
The Giants failed to run the ball as effectively as they had been heading into the Thanksgiving battle. Saquon Barkley led the backfield with just 39 yards and added a touchdown that was set up by an impressive Darius Slayton reception. New York finished with just 90 rushing yards despite averaging the 5th-most rushing yards per game entering the matchup.
More to come.
