Buffalo Bills pass-rusher Von Miller didn't tear his ACL but will be out indefinitely as doctors review other damage to his knee to determine the full extent of the injury, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

It's unknown how long Miller will be sidelined. The damage could force him to miss a few weeks or end his season, though more information is being gathered, Schefter adds.

The damage is reportedly a torn lateral meniscus, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Surgery is likely, but Miller may be able to be postpone it until after the season, Rapoport adds.

Miller isn't expected to decide how he'll proceed with the injury for another week or two, Schefter reports. Bills head coach Sean McDermott confirmed that the linebacker won't play in Thursday's Week 13 matchup with the New England Patriots.

The veteran was carted to the locker room in Thursday's win over the Detroit Lions after he got rolled up on by a Lions offensive lineman.

Signed by Buffalo in the offseason, Miller leads the team with eight sacks. He's also added 12 quarterback hits and 10 tackles for a loss. Other pass-rushers on the Bills' roster include Gregory Rousseau, A.J. Epenesa, and Boogie Basham.

The Bills own an 8-3 record this season and have won two games in a row.
