Saoedi-Arabie is al een tijd lang bezig invloed te verwerven in het internationale topvoetbal. Newcastle United werd gekocht, een Saoedische club aast op Cristiano Ronaldo. En dan was het WK in Qatar ook nog eens een succes, door de zege op Argentinie.
