Police in Tampa have issued an arrest warrant for former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown on a misdemeanor battery charge, according to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe.

The charge stems from a domestic battery incident on Nov. 28, according to ESPN's Jenna Laine.

Tampa police told Laine that Brown had an argument with a woman, which became physical, and Brown threw a shoe at her.

The woman, who's the mother of four of Brown's kids, said Brown locked her out of her house in Tampa, tossed out her belongings, and threatened to shoot her, according to court documents obtained by Aaron Mesmer of FOX 13 News.

On Nov. 29, a judge denied a petition for a temporary risk protection order to prevent Brown from possessing firearms if he was considered a threat to himself or others, Laine notes.

The 34-year-old Brown pleaded no contest to felony battery charges and received two years of probation in June 2020. The probation was terminated one year early for good behavior.

A seven-time Pro Bowler, Brown hasn't played this year after appearing in 15 regular-season games with the Buccaneers over the last two seasons. The Bucs released him in January after he walked off the field in the third quarter of a game against the New York Jets.
