Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields is off the injury report and in line to return for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers.

Fields missed Chicago's 31-10 defeat to the New York Jets in Week 12 due to a shoulder injury. The signal-caller was a full participant in practice Thursday and Friday.

The Bears turned to Trevor Siemian in Field's absence last Sunday. Siemian finished with a 75.2 passer rating after throwing for 179 yards with one touchdown and an interception.

Siemian, who managed to play despite sustaining an oblique injury pregame, is set to undergo season-ending surgery, head coach Matt Eberflus said Friday, according to ESPN's Courtney Cronin. Nathan Peterman will serve as the backup quarterback.

Fields demonstrated his ability as a dual-threat quarterback prior to injuring his shoulder in the team's Week 11 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The 23-year-old threw for six touchdowns to two interceptions and rushed for 410 yards over his last three appearances.

The Bears (3-9) and Packers (4-8) hold the bottom two spots of the NFC North coming into their Week 13 meeting.
