Canucks' Demko to miss about 6 weeks with lower-body injury
Vancouver Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko will miss approximately six weeks after leaving Thursday's game against the Florida Panthers due to a lower-body injury, Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin announced Saturday.
Demko appeared to favor his right leg and had to be helped off the ice.

It's been a season to forget for Demko, who's posted a 3-10-2 record with an .883 save percentage.
Demko was one of the top netminders in the league last season, finishing seventh in Vezina Trophy voting after registering a .915 save percentage in 65 appearances.
In the meantime, Spencer Martin will likely handle the bulk of the starts. The 27-year-old journeyman owns a .900 save percentage across 10 games in 2022-23.
Vancouver recalled Collin Delia, a veteran of 32 career NHL games, from the AHL in Demko's absence.
