Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett entered the concussion protocol during Sunday's 16-14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

Pickett was initially evaluated for a concussion after being sacked on the team's opening drive. He returned for the next possession before being ruled out.

Mitch Trubisky took over for the rookie and led the Steelers to a touchdown on his first drive. Trubisky finished the contest with 22 completions on 30 attempts for 276 yards with one touchdown. However, he also threw three interceptions.

Pickett took the starting job from Trubisky in Week 5. He entered Sunday's game with four touchdown passes to eight interceptions, though he also added three scores on the ground.

This marks the second time Pickett has entered the concussion protocol this season. He was previously placed in the protocol following the Week 6 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, though he did not miss the team's next game.

Sunday's loss drops the Steelers to 5-8 on the season.
