QEW closures in Oakville and Burlington Dec. 12-17 triggers traffic warning to drivers

Some significant closures are coming to the QEW in Oakville and Burlington this week and heading into the weekend.

The Ministry of Transportation posted a number of closures for this week (Dec. 12-17) and drivers are being put on alert:

Maintenance work on the westbound QEW between Trafalgar Road and Dorval Drive will leave two lanes closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Dec. 12-13

Construction on the eastbound QEW between Brant Street and Highway 403 in Oakville will lead to lane closures from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Dec. 12-17

Construction on the eastbound QEW on-ramp at Fairview Street/Plains Road will leave "all lanes closed" from 12-5 a.m. Dec. 12-17, the Ministry said.
