Google Maps braces for more competition as Linux partners with Microsoft, Meta, and others

The Linux Foundation has gained the assistance of a few large tech companies like Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, and TomTom for its new geolocation project. With the emergence of the Overture Maps Foundation, Linux is interested in offering the tools for developers to create geolocation services at a lower cost.
