Police say projectiles fired at pedestrians and dog near busy Oakville intersection
Two men and one youth are facing multiple charges in connection with an incident in which pedestrians reported being struck by projectiles fired from a vehicle in Oakville on Monday, Jan. 2.
At around 4 p.m., according to police, a resident was walking their dog in the area of Dundas Street and Trafalgar Road when a vehicle approached and the individual was allegedly shot with what they described as some sort of BB or pellet gun.
Police say that moments later, an individual standing near a bus stop in the same area was allegedly shot by the same type of projectiles, fired from a passing vehicle.
No one was injured during the incidents.
Halton police were called to the area and soon located a vehicle and made three arrests.
Police said a Gel blaster handgun was found during a search of this vehicle.
A 20-year-old man from Kitchener, an 18-year-old man from Milton and a 17-year-old boy from Kitchener have each been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Police said the 20-year-old was also charged with possession of property obtained by crime after a stolen cheque book was allegedly found in his possession.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
