Dundas skaters may have found the sight odd; rinkside visitors of the equestrian variety.
Holly Mouland and Delmonte Slim took the opportunity to mix immiscible sports: horse riding and skating.
The pair were spotted by Spectator photographer Cathie Coward, riding in the fog along Rock Chapel Road on Wednesday afternoon. And then again Thursday at Dundas Driving Park where the duo parked their steeds for a skate.
Mouland, 11, rode Morgan quarter horse Flicka and Slim on Belgian Sally.
Both the horses belong to Slim, a friend and neighbour of Mouland's grandparents. The youngster has been riding for about five years and the two often ride together.
As spectators, Flicka and Sally, both mares, waited patiently for the duo to finish skating, while grabbing attention from passersby.
