Crochet workshop

Chamber music series
Hamilton's 5 at the First chamber music series begins Saturday at 2 p.m., First Unitarian Church, 170 Dundurn St. S. The series features five performances with one each month until June. This weekend is Violin & Viola Rhapsodies" featuring violinists Mayumi Seiler and Min-Jeong Koh, and violist Caitlin Boyle. Tickets are available online only, visit 5atthefirst.com.
Avro Canada
Included with your Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum admission on Saturday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. is a 30-minute presentation followed by questions and answers on the Avro Arrow. Echoes of Scotland
Hammer Baroque presents violinist Genevieve Gilardeau and archlutist Lucas Harris in Echoes of Scotland" on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Church of St. John the Evangelist, 320 Charlton Ave. W. Suggested donation of $15 at the door.
String quartet
The Ying Quartet, presented by Chamber Music Hamilton, is performing at the Art Gallery of Hamilton, Tanenbaum Pavilion, 123 King St. W., Sunday at 2 p.m. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Tickets at door and ticketscene.ca: $35, student $15 (online plus fees).
Winter golf

Skiers align

NHL alumni game
It's more than just game day on Sunday night with the Hamilton NHL alumni hockey game at FirstOntario Centre. Hamilton's venue plays host to Hockey Night in Hamilton with the alumni benefit tour. Players include former NHL legends from the Original Six classic teams, Stanley Cup winners, Team Canada heroes and local hometown heroes in support of Special Olympics Ontario and the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
