One person injured after garage fire spreads to Hamilton Mountain home

One person with minor burns and smoke inhalation was treated by paramedics at a well involved" garage fire at a house near Sherwood Secondary School on the Mountain Saturday afternoon.

The Hamilton Fire Department brought the blaze under control quickly, however some damage was done to the Pinehurst Drive home.

Crews responded to the call at 12:30 p.m. and an hour later were checking for hot spots.

No cause or estimated damages have been established yet, according to the fire department.
