A 20-year-old Hamilton man has been charged with arson following a vehicle fire in an Oakville neighbourhood on Monday, Jan. 16.

No one was injured during this incident.

It is unclear how much damage the vehicle sustained before it was extinguished.

The suspect's vehicle was soon located across town in the Sheridan College parking lot where it had struck a light pole and been abandoned.

Police said a K9 unit was brought to the scene of the accident to track the driver and a man was ultimately located near the college residences.

This individual was reportedly identified as being associated with the crashed vehicle and was arrested.
