The New York Jets are interviewing former Denver Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett for their open offensive coordinator role, sources told ESPN's Dianna Russini.

Hackett, 43, was fired prior to the end of the 2022 season after compiling a 4-11 record.

The Jets are searching for a new offensive coordinator after agreeing to mutually part ways with Mike LaFleur after two seasons. New York averaged 318.2 yards (25th in the NFL) and 17.4 points per contest (29th).

Prior to joining Denver, Hackett spent time as a player-caller and OC for the Buffalo Bills (2013-14), Jacksonville Jaguars (2016-18), and Green Bay Packers (2019-21). He also served on Jacksonville's coaching staff at the same time as Jets head coach Robert Saleh.

Hackett's father, former NFL and college coach Paul, served as an offensive coordinator for the Jets from 2001 to 2004.
