'Dreams do come true': Oakville man wins big Lotto Max prize after buying ticket at grocery store
Lots of people dream of winning the lottery, but it doesn't come true for everyone.
For Oakville's Minsoo Koh, reality turned out to be better than his dream.
I had a dream a few years ago and saw four of my numbers on my ticket," he said.
Instead Koh matched all the Maxmillions numbers in the Nov. 25 Lotto Max draw to win the $1-million prize.
I can't believe it," he said. Dreams do come true."
Koh initially thought he'd won $1,000.
I was so shocked," he said. I was expecting to put $1,000 in the bank and now I'm a millionaire."
Koh, a maintenance technician, plays the lottery every week with Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49 being his favourites. He said he plans to treat his wife with the winnings and is considering a trip.
I might take a trip to Florida with my family," said the father of one.
The winning ticket was purchased at Galleria Supermarket in Oakville.
