Hamilton police investigate shooting near Lime Ridge Mall

Hamilton police are investigating after a shooting on the central Mountain late Wednesday.

In a media release, police said officers responded to reports of gunshots heard in the area of Upper Wentworth Street and Kingfisher Drive, near Lime Ridge Mall, just after 11 p.m.

Investigators at the scene confirmed a shooting had happened. No injuries had been reported to police as of Thursday morning.

Police are asking residents in the area to review their surveillance camera footage between 10:40 and 11:20 p.m. Detectives are also looking for dash camera footage from drivers who may have been in the area during that time.
