Police investigating ‘suspicious package’ at Canada Post in Stoney Creek

The Hamilton Fire Department is currently on scene at a Canada Post facility in Stoney Creek after reports of a suspicious package."
Assistant deputy fire chief Steve Welton said in an email the issue is contained to the 393 Millen Rd. processing plant, and there are no safety concerns to area residents.
Staff at the facility were evacuated as a precaution" while the package is investigated, he said.
Welton said fire is assisting police in the investigation, which is still in early stages.
