Hamilton police investigating gunpoint gas station robbery

Hamilton police are investigating a gunpoint robbery at a Barton Street East gas station Thursday night.
No one was hurt during the robbery at the Canco gas station on Barton east of Sanford Avenue North. However, the suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
The suspect allegedly entered the gas station before 9:30 p.m., brandished a weapon and fled on foot with cash.
The commercial robbery is being investigated by the BEAR (break and enter, auto theft and robbery) unit. Anyone with information is asked to call 905-526-2991.
