Employee attacked at central Hamilton Mountain strip mall
Hamilton Police are investigating an attack on an employee at a strip mall on the central Mountain that led to serious injuries.
A man entered one of the businesses at 1660 Upper James St. - just south of Rymal Road East - on Friday at about 1:48 p.m. Police say an employee was seriously assaulted. They have not named the business.
The man fled the area northbound on foot toward Upper James. He is described as thin with black hair and a receding hairline. He was wearing a green camo-pattern winter jacket, trapper hat, blue medical mask and grey khakis.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Police warn the public not to approach the suspect - if encountered call 911.
Officers are looking for a potential witness who was in the area driving a red Toyota Camry with winter rims. Police would like to speak to the driver.
