Multiple Philadelphia Eagles players complained about the field conditions at Arizona's State Farm Stadium following Sunday's 38-35 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII.

"It was the worst field I ever played on," pass-rusher Haason Reddick said postgame, according to Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post.

"It was like playing on a water park," said offensive lineman Jordan Mailata, who also said that Chiefs players criticized it during the game, per Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.

Players from both teams had a hard time keeping their footing during the Super Bowl. Several players changed their cleats during Sunday's matchup, including Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Philadelphia head coach Nick Sirianni downplayed the impact of Sunday's playing surface in the final result.

"We both had to play on that turf," Sirianni said, according to Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94WIP.com.

The Chiefs also had issues with the playing surface at State Farm Stadium when they visited the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1. Kansas City coach Andy Reid described the stadium's turf as "a little bit loose" in September, adding that it played a role in cornerback Trent McDuffie and kicker Harrison Butker getting injured in the season's first month. McDuffie and Butker missed six and four games, respectively.
