Masked men with guns invade Winona home: Hamilton police
Hamilton police are asking the public for help identifying a group of masked suspects who allegedly broke into a Winona residence wielding firearms Friday.
The male suspects - believed to be as many as five - invaded the home in the area of Winona and North Service roads around 1 p.m., police said in a release.
It's unclear whether anyone was injured during the incident. Police said the suspects fled the area in a black Dodge Ram.
One suspect is described as six-foot-two with a dark complexion and skinny build. He was carrying a black handgun, police said, and sported a grey tracksuit and black ski mask.
A second is described as six-foot to six-foot-two with a dark complexion and medium build. Police said he too was carrying a black handgun, and donned all-black clothing including a black ski mask.
A third is described as five-foot-10 to five-foot-11, well built and with a dark complexion. He was wearing a black sweater and black ski mask, as well as blue jeans.
Police said a fourth suspect was heard in the home during the invasion but investigators have been unable to obtain his description. A fifth suspect, who is also without a description yet, is believed to have been waiting in the getaway vehicle, police said.
Anyone with information about the incident and the identities of the suspects is asked to contact Det. Andrew Poustie at 905-546-2920 or the Division 2 Staff Sargent at 905-546-2963.
