The Vancouver Canucks activated No. 1 goaltender Thatcher Demko from injured reserve Monday. He made 34 saves in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over the Dallas Stars.

Vancouver assigned fellow netminder Arturs Silovs to the AHL in a corresponding move.

Demko hadn't played since suffering a lower-body ailment Dec. 1 against the Florida Panthers. The 27-year-old - who finished seventh in Vezina Trophy voting last year - has endured a poor season, posting an .884 save percentage in 16 contests.

Silovs, 21, posted a .908 save percentage in four games with the Canucks.

Between Demko, Silovs, Collin Delia, and Spencer Martin, the Canucks ranked last in the NHL with a team save percentage of .872 entering Monday.
