Winter storm advisory ended overnight for Hamilton
A winter storm travel advisory ended overnight.
Environment Canada cancelled the winter weather travel advisory around 1:40 a.m. for Hamilton, Halton and Niagara.
There are no reports of school closures or transportation cancellations in Hamilton Tuesday morning.
In Halton, student transportation services, HSTS, said in a tweet that they are operating but warn students to check for bus delays or cancellations before they leave the house this morning.
Student Transportation Services in Brant-Haldimand-Norfolk said on Twitter that service area is running in all 4 zones today with the exception of the B-673, B-679 buses which have been cancelled. All schools are open.
McMaster University tweeted Tuesday morning that they are open.
Tuesday's forecast from the national weather service says you can expect cloudy skies and fog patches with a 60 per cent chance of drizzle early in the morning. Winds gusts from 20 to 60 km/h are expected. The daytime high will reach 2 C before falling to a low of -3, with a wind chill of -7 overnight.
Tuesday's mild weather comes on the heels of a winter storm Monday evening that saw Hamilton-area facilities and evening events cancelled as ice and snow fell on southern Ontario.
