China and Austrailia faced off in a key Pool B game in the 2023 World Baseball Classic. Australia got off to a fast start and didn't look back. Featuring a Robbie Glendinning home run in the fourth inning, Austrailia jumped out to a 10-2 lead by the fourth inning. China continued to put up a fight, but it was to no prevail. Darryl George's RBI with bases loaded in the seventh inning set off the mercy rule which resulted in an easy win for Australia.
