Report: Broncos signing McGlinchey to 5-year, $87.5M deal
The Denver Broncos are expected to sign free-agent right tackle Mike McGlinchey, sources told ESPN's Dianna Russini.
McGlinchey, a former first-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers, is agreeing to a five-year, $87.5-million contract with over $50 million guaranteed, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
McGlinchey provided an ideal bookend alongside All-Pro Trent Williams the past three seasons. The Notre Dame product was an immediate starter for San Francisco after being drafted in 2018.
Denver appears to be placing an emphasis on improving its talent in front of quarterback Russell Wilson.
The Broncos have been active during the league's negotiation window after agreeing to terms on a four-year, $52-million agreement with free-agent offensive guard Ben Powers. The 26-year-old started all 17 games for the Ravens in 2022 and was a key contributor to Baltimore's run-focused offense.
The new additions are expected to bolster an offensive line that allowed a league-high 63 sacks last season.
